Artist story
Tarryn Stokes is a singer-songwriter, worship leader, and performer from Melbourne (now living in the Sunshine Coast), whose remarkable voice and inspiring personal journey have made her one of Australia's most recognisable emerging artists. Blending pop, soul, and contemporary Christian influences, Tarryn creates music that speaks of faith, perseverance, and hope while connecting deeply with audiences through her authenticity and vulnerability. Music has always been central to Tarryn's life, but her journey has not been without challenges. Born with significant hearing loss, she has spent much of her life overcoming obstacles while pursuing her passion for singing and performance.
Her determination and talent captured national attention in 2023 when she won The Voice Australia, becoming the first contestant in the show's history to win after receiving every available coach's vote during the Blind Auditions. Before her breakthrough on national television, Tarryn spent years serving through church worship teams, performing across Australia, and developing her craft as a songwriter and vocalist. Her music reflects a deep faith and a desire to encourage others through life's challenges, often drawing on her own experiences of resilience, healing, and trusting God through uncertainty.
Since winning The Voice, Tarryn has continued to build her recording career with original music and live performances while sharing her testimony with audiences around the country. Whether on stage, in church, or through her recorded music, her mission remains the same: to inspire people to find hope, courage, and purpose in every season of life.
