River Movement

River Movement is a Christian alternative hip-hop collective based across Queensland's Gold Coast and Brisbane regions, known for its unique fusion of rap, folk, reggae, worship, and spoken-word influences. Founded in 2017 by lead vocalist and rapper Jordan Winslade, the group was born from a desire to create music that carries hope, faith, and authentic connection to people from all walks of life. The band emerged following a life-changing encounter for Jordan during a mission trip to Cambodia and quickly developed a collaborative approach to songwriting and performance. River Movement's rotating lineup has included Kristian Kennedy, Josh Blackburn, Callum Tyrrell, Bec Tyrrell, Jenna Huggins, Tyson Winslade, and Chris Tamati-Chirnside, with each member contributing to the collective's diverse sound and creative vision.

The group describes its mission as being "rivers of living water in dry places," a theme that continues to shape its music and ministry. Known for energetic live shows and spontaneous freestyle moments, River Movement has toured extensively throughout Australia, including a 14-city national tour, and has also performed internationally at New Zealand's Festival One. Their music has found strong support within Australian Christian radio, with songs such as It All Goes Away reaching #1 on Aussie Grown Radio and #2 on the Rhema/Vision Christian Radio Oz Top 30. Their albums Impending Light and Immersing Light have further established them as one of Australia's most distinctive independent Christian acts.
