Artist story
Levi McGrath is a Melbourne-born singer-songwriter now based in Kununurra, Western Australia, where he has lived and worked since relocating to the East Kimberley region in 2021. Known for creating music that combines heartfelt storytelling, faith, and a passion for social justice, Levi has built a reputation as an artist whose songs encourage listeners to engage with the world around them and live with compassion, purpose, and hope. His sound blends contemporary singer-songwriter influences with pop, folk, and acoustic elements, creating music that is both uplifting and thought-provoking.
Since releasing his debut album Move in 2007, Levi has toured extensively throughout Australia and internationally. He has shared stages with artists including Third Day, NEEDTOBREATHE, Darlene Zschech, and Building 429, while also appearing alongside respected Christian leaders and advocates such as Tim Costello and Tony Campolo. His catalogue includes releases such as Children of War, Come Home, Be Here Now, and more recent singles including Tear the Walls Down, He Loves Us So, and One More Moment.
A defining feature of Levi's ministry is his commitment to using music as a force for positive change. His experiences working with former child soldiers in Uganda, disadvantaged communities in Melbourne, and Indigenous young people through the Instruments for the Outback initiative have deeply shaped both his songwriting and mission. Since moving to Kununurra in 2021, Levi's work has become increasingly connected to regional and Indigenous communities, further shaping both his ministry and songwriting.
Today, Levi continues to release new music, perform across Australia, and use his platform to champion faith, unity, justice, and hope. His songs remind listeners that small acts of love and courage can have a lasting impact on the world around them.
