Artist story
Daniel Hagen is an Australian worship leader, songwriter, and recording artist whose journey is marked by an unwavering commitment to Jesus. Before entering the Christian music space, Daniel fronted the Australian rock band The Hollow and was on the verge of securing a major six-figure record deal. However, when challenged to stop speaking and singing about his faith in order to secure ongoing industry investment, Daniel chose to walk away rather than compromise his convictions. That decision became the catalyst for an entirely new chapter in his life and ministry.
Since then, Daniel has spent years leading worship and writing songs that have impacted audiences across Australia, Europe, and beyond. As a prominent voice within the Awakening movement, he has led Awakening Music at significant gatherings including Awakening Australia and Awakening Europe, helping create powerful moments of worship for thousands of believers. Drawing on his rock music background, Daniel's sound combines passionate worship with anthemic energy and bold faith. His songs focus on the person of Jesus, the power of the Gospel, revival, surrender, and God's faithfulness.
Releases such as Ready or Not, The Jesus Hymn, and God My Deliverer have reflected his heart for leading people into authentic encounters with God rather than simply creating musical experiences. Recently relocating to the United States with his family, Daniel has entered a new season as a solo artist. His latest release, Feels Like Coming Home, reflects his ongoing mission to bring the hope of Jesus to new audiences through music that is honest, passionate, and deeply rooted in faith.
