Artist story
Brook St are an Australiana folk duo from the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, made up of husband-and-wife musicians Hannah Olivia and Jason Daniels. Known for their heartfelt storytelling, rich harmonies, and acoustic-driven sound, the pair create music that captures both the beauty and complexity of everyday life. Drawing inspiration from artists such as The Paper Kites, Angus & Julia Stone, Simon & Garfunkel, and The Lumineers, their songs blend warmth, honesty, and a distinctly Australian sense of place. The duo met at a gig, bonded over a shared love of music and life experiences, and were married in 2021.
Since launching Brook St in early 2023, they have quickly built a dedicated following through a combination of relentless touring and authentic songwriting. In just a few years, they have performed more than 50 shows across seven countries, released multiple EPs and singles, and amassed over half a million Spotify streams. Their single Chase The Night spent four consecutive weeks at No. 1 on the AMRAP Australian Regional Chart, while festival appearances have included Woodford Folk Festival, Tamworth Country Music Festival, Surfana Festival in the Netherlands, and Reef Sounds.
They have also supported artists including Tay Oskee and The Dreggs. At the heart of Brook St's music is a desire to tell honest stories about love, family, mental health, hope, and the shared experiences that connect us all. Their growing catalogue, including releases such as I Saw Me Talking, Let's Build A House, Happy Camper, Feel It All (Willow's Song) and All That We've Got, continues to resonate with listeners seeking music that feels both deeply personal and universally relatable.
