🎶 This Week on the Aus Music Showcase
Welcome to another episode of the Aus Music Showcase, your go-to program for the best in music from Australian Christian musicians. Each week, we bring you inspiring stories, uplifting songs, and the artists behind them.
This week we’re celebrating fresh new Australian releases, and catching up with Western Australian artist Danny Alcorn to get to know him and his music!
🎤 Meet Our Co-Host: Danny Alcorn
Danny Alcorn is an Australian country gospel singer-songwriter whose music is rooted in personal transformation, faith, and the life-changing impact of encountering Jesus. Based in Busselton, Western Australia, Danny’s songs reflect a testimony of redemption, bringing together soulful melodies, authentic storytelling, and a passion for sharing the hope he has found in Christ.
Before stepping into Christian music, Danny was involved in a variety of musical projects, including the pop, hip-hop, and rock acts DANNY and New Towns. However, after a significant personal faith journey, he chose a new direction, leaving behind his previous lifestyle and dedicating his music to sharing the Gospel. This shift marked the beginning of a fresh creative chapter, inspiring a sound that combines country influences with worshipful themes and heartfelt testimony.
Through original songs and live performances, Danny shares the joy, freedom, and challenges of following Jesus. His music carries a refreshing sincerity, inviting listeners into stories of grace, hope, perseverance, and spiritual renewal. Whether through intimate acoustic performances or recorded releases, his desire is to encourage believers and inspire others to explore faith for themselves
Recent releases such as Victory, Child of God, Walking on Water, and Skydiving showcase his growing catalogue of country gospel music. With each song, Danny’s mission remains clear: to share the love of Jesus through music and help bring heaven’s message of hope to everyday people.

🌟 One to Watch:
✨ If you’re a fan of timeless vocals and classic big-band energy, then Tegan Kate is an artist worth discovering. Her latest release, Almost Like Being in Love, showcases a rich jazz-inspired sound. From this release, it sounds like she’s going to develop into a really distinct artist. She describes herself as a singer of gospel, jazz and soul, bringing a touch of old-school glamour to today’s music scene. Her vocals are warm, expressive, and of course musical. We love this new song from Tegan!
