🎶 This Week on the Aus Music Showcase
Welcome to another episode of the Aus Music Showcase, your go-to program for the best in music from Australian Christian musicians. Each week, we bring you inspiring stories, uplifting songs, and the artists behind them.
This week we’re celebrating fresh new Australian releases, and catching up with South Australian artist Victor Claye to chat all about him and his new album Love Like This.
🎤 Meet Our Co-Host: Victor Claye
Victor Claye is a gospel hip-hop and afrobeat artist based in Adelaide, South Australia, known for combining energetic beats, Afrocentric rhythms, and Christ-centred messages of hope and purpose. Born in Sierra Leone and raised in Australia after fleeing civil war as a child, Victor’s remarkable story has become a powerful foundation for both his music and ministry.
Drawing inspiration from classic hip-hop, contemporary gospel, and African influences, Victor has developed a distinctive sound often compared to artists such as Lecrae and CalledOut Music. His songs combine infectious energy with a genuine desire to share the life-changing message of Jesus.
Victor has quickly become one of Australia’s emerging Christian hip-hop voices. His 2025 single Pass Me The Mic reached #4 on the OZ 5 Top Tunes chart, while releases including Love Like This, Hallelujah, and Citizen of Heaven have earned national radio support and festival appearances across the country.
Away from the stage, Victor serves as a pastor, leads his church’s gospel choir, and mentors young people within his community. With his new album Love Like This out now, Victor continues to establish himself as a fresh and influential voice in Australian Christian music.

🌟 One to Watch: Levi Maxwell
✨ My One To Watch this week is Northern Rivers singer-songwriter Levi Maxwell.
Levi Maxwell has a gift for turning the beauty and big questions of life and faith into compelling songs. Drawing from folk, country, and acoustic influences, his music feels grounded, authentic, and deeply reflective. The exposed acoustic style of his recordings invites listeners to slow down, reflect, and connect with the stories woven through his lyrics.
Over the past few years, Levi has steadily built an impressive catalogue of independent releases. His latest project, Grace, is a three-song collection released in July 2026 alongside Bridge of Clay and The Storm.
What stands out about Levi is the patience and hope embedded throughout his songwriting. Speaking about Grace, he reflects on how life’s biggest questions often take time to answer, encouraging listeners to lean into Scripture and trust God through the process. His music is vulnerable, faith-filled, and refreshingly honest.
There’s no rush to Levi’s music, just thoughtful songwriting and a genuine love of sharing truth through song. Grace is a beautiful release, and Levi Maxwell is absolutely one to watch.
